Originally, once-living fish were taxidermed but because of their delicate and organic nature, these fragile pieces would erode over time. “Fish taxidermy” has now evolved to be used synonymous with the term “reproduction”; various non-organic materials (including fiberglass, glass and hand-selected paints) are used to carefully create replicas of your favorite fish.
